Who Is the Rooftop Solar Subsidy For?
According to MNRE's published criteria, any consumer tagged to a residential power connection of the local DISCOM is eligible to take benefit under PM Surya Ghar, and can install a rooftop solar system on a roof, terrace, balcony or on top of elevated structures (Source: MNRE / PIB, *Criteria and details of incentives available to individuals under solar schemes of MNRE*).
- Residential consumers — the core beneficiary group of the scheme.

Under the national-portal route, CFA is transferred directly to the consumer's account after successful installation by an empanelled vendor and verification by the state DISCOM.
